Congratulations to Dr. Daniel Sinclair for successfully defending his Ph.D thesis! Daniel completed his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering under the advisement of Professor Nikhilesh Chawla. Daniel’s research at Purdue combined 3D tomography with electron microscopy to characterize process-structure relationships in laser powder bed fusion aluminum. He is going on to a postdoctoral researcher position at Carnegie Mellon University to study alloy design for 3D printing of refractory metals.
