Dr. Kerry-Ann Stirrup has successfully completed her PhD! Advised by Professor Wayne Chen, her research focused on experimentally understanding pore collapse in polymer bonded explosives during high-speed deformation. As part of this work, she adapted the Focused Ion Beam milling technique for micromachining of secondary crystalline explosives. Dr. Stirrup has accepted a position with Sandia National Laboratories in the Explosives Research and Development group.
