Congratulations to MSE graduate student, Abbey Koneru, for being one of only 35 students in the country to be selected for an NSF Graduate Fellowship in Materials Engineering! Abbey is advised by Professor Lia Stanciu, and her research aims to create novel technologies that can capture, transduce, and translate chemical signals into biochemical fingerprints for a more rapid, effective and reliable pathogenic bacteria, as well as virus detection.
