Dr. Brenden Hamilton successfully completes his PhD

Congratulations to Dr. Brenden Hamilton on successfully completing his PhD under Professor Alejandro Strachan! His research focused on understanding how energy localizations at the molecular scale contributes to chemical initiation and reactivity for energetic materials and other molecular solids at extreme conditions. This focused on utilizing atomic scale predictive simulations to capture all relevant molecular phenomena. After graduation, Dr. Hamilton will be joining Los Alamos National Lab under a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellowship to work on condensed phase mechanochemistry.
