MSE undergraduate students Diego Leoni and Langdon Feltner are preparing ceramic slurries that will be used to slip-cast a porcelain glass as part of their MSE 367 laboratory course. To ensure the safety of their students, Prof. Lia Stanciu and graduate teaching assistant Pengyu Xu adapted this year’s ceramic processing activity to comply with the new physical distancing and equipment guidelines, including the use of smaller lab groups, staggered work times, face masks, and face shields.
