MSE grad student awarded by DOE

Bethany Rutherford, MSE Graduate Student

 

MSE graduate student, Bethany Rutherford has been selected to receive one of 62 U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) awards. These awards are used to prepare graduate students for careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM), which are critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission. In addition, these awards provide graduate thesis research opportunities through extended residency at DOE national laboratories as well as inbound and outbound travel to the laboratory and a monthly stipend for general living expenses. Bethany is advised by Professor Haiyan Wang and will conduct her project in the area of microelectronics at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). bit.ly/Rutherford_SCGSR
