Ms. Kalapi Biswas, a doctoral student conducting research on "Bismuth Telluride Nanowire Composites for Thermoelectric Devices" with Professor Tim Sands has awarded a 2008 Silver Medal from the Materials Research Society on March 26, 2008. Ms. Biswas is a graduate student in the School of Materials Engineering and she conducts most of her research in the Birck Nanotechnology Center.
