Effron Awards
Mr. Effron received his B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Purdue University in 1967, and his M.B.A. from Fordham University in 1971. He was recognized as a 1998 finalist by the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year contest, was an Old Master from 2000, and was the 2001 recipient of the Engineering Alumni Association Service Awards.

Students submit an application, which includes a resume, transcript, two letters of recommendation, cover letter and an essay in which the topic changes each year. The 2007 award banquet was held in March of 2007 at Puccini's Smiling Teeth. The awards were presented to the following students by Mr. Barry Effron.
