Introducing GEPP's New Associate Dean

Marisol Koslowski is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Associate Dean for Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships. She received her BS degree in Physics in 1997 from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and her MS and PhD degrees in Aeronautics in 1999 and 2003 from the California Institute of Technology. She was a Technical Staff Member in the Theoretical Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory before joining Purdue in 2005. She made contributions to the development of theoretical and computational models to study the mechanical, thermal, and chemical behavior of materials. She leads an interdisciplinary research program with impact in nano and microelectronics, drug and food processing, polymer composites, alloys, and energetic materials. Her group focuses on the effects of microstructure, defects, and interfaces to control the behavior of materials.
