K12 project: QR Codes for the School Mapping System

Hereford High School, located in Baltimore County, is a very large school with many halls and places to get lost as a freshman or new student. In order to help with the ongoing chaos of the halls, I created an online mapping system for the school.

Hereford High School, located in Baltimore County, is a very large school with many halls and places to get lost as a freshman or new student.  In order to help with the ongoing chaos of the halls, I created an online mapping system for the school. The website is linked to a QR that will be given to all students and parents, placed on posters around the school and on their yearly planners. When the QR code is scanned by a phone or computer it will direct them to the website. The website allows the user to select where they are coming from and then select where they are going, then gives them the step-by-step directions to the classroom. My Stakeholder was Mrs. Hickman, Vice Principle of Hereford High School, and we have met multiple times to discuss the accuracy of the directions and the use of QR codes.
