Name and location of company where you are on co-op: Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, Ohio

Job duties: Electrical & Controls Project Engineer

  • Support electrical infrastructure projects for pipeline and terminal operations, including power distribution upgrades, equipment installations, and system reliability improvements.
  • Conduct field visits across MPC terminal assets to evaluate systems and develop electrical project scopes.

Why did you want to do this co-op/What do you hope to gain from the experience? 

My goal is to translate what I’ve learned in the classroom into real-world engineering applications while developing the mindset, technical skills, and problem-solving approach required to become a successful engineer.

Have you done other co-ops/internships as an ECE student? 

Yes, this is my third rotation with Marathon.

What are your ultimate career goals? 

My goal is to build a long-term career in the energy industry and grow into a leadership role where I can lead major engineering projects and make a meaningful impact on how energy is delivered to the world.
