Professor Jim Krogmeier receives Award for Excellence in Distance Learning

He received the Purdue Digital Education Award for his online course "Applied Signal Processing Systems". The award recognizes faculty and instructional staff who demonstrate excellence in their distance and online projects.

Professor Jim Krogmeier has received the 2016 Award for Excellence in Distance Learning (Noncredit) for his online course "Applied Signal Processing Systems". The award, given by Purdue Digital Education, recognizes faculty and instructional staff who demonstrate excellence in their distance and online projects.

The review committee noted the "variety of tools and activities integrated in the course" as well as "features such as bookmarks, which allows the student to view the topics covered and skip to a specific topic within the lecture." It also called the course "engaging and helps support the understanding of lesson topics."

The 2016 Awards for Excellence in Distance Learning will be recognized at the Provost's Faculty Awards Convocation on Monday, April 25, 2016 in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms.
