Professor David Love was invited to participate in the 2016 EU-US Frontiers of Engineering symposium, which was held October 17-19, at Aalto University near Helsinki, Finland. He presented a poster on the research challenges related to developing 5G and beyond wireless networks.

About 60 outstanding engineers under the age of 45 met for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium to discuss cutting-edge developments in four areas: The Road to Future Urban Mobility; Frontiers of Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage; Integrated Photonics; and Smart Systems for Personalized and Connected Healthcare. The event facilitates international and cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promotes the transfer of new techniques and approaches across disparate engineering fields, and encourages the creation of a transatlantic network of world-class engineers.
