Professors Dimitrios Peroulis and Y. Charlie Hu have been named University Faculty Scholars for the 2011 academic year. Recipients of this honor are selected from nominees who are either tenured associate professors or full professors who have been in that rank for no more than five years. They are nominated by their academic unit, reviewed by a committee of named and distinguished professors in their college, and approved by the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. Each scholar receives an S&E allocation annually through university and college funds. The newly named University Faculty Scholars will begin their five-year terms in the fall of 2011.
