ECE alumnus David Wolf inducted into Space Technology Hall of Fame
Electrical Engineering alumnus David Wolf, a NASA mission specialist who has flown on four space shuttle missions, has been inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame. He will receive the honor during an awards dinner April 14 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. More than 1200 senior space leaders and guests are expected to attend this event. The awards dinner is the capstone event of the 27th National Space Symposium being held at the Broadmoor Hotel, April 11-14.
Wolf received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Purdue in 1978 and a doctorate of medicine from Indiana University in 1982. He has logged 168 days, 12 hours, 56 minutes in space over four missions, conducting seven spacewalks totaling 47 hours of extravehicular activity. His induction into the Space Technology Hall of Fame recognizes his contributions to the development of technologies that simulate weightlessness to grow cell cultures for research.
