ECE Undergraduate Program Ranked Among the Best
U.S. News & World Report has released this year's national rankings of undergraduate programs. Purdue ranks #9 among engineering programs at doctoral-granting universities, tied with Cornell.
The discipline rankings are:
- Agricultural/biological engineering - #1; last year #3
- Aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical engineering - #4; last year #4
- Civil engineering - #5; last year #5
- Industrial/manufacturing engineering - #5 tied with Stanford; last year #3
- Mechanical engineering - #7; last year #7
- Electrical/electronic/communications engineering - #9 tied with Carnegie Mellon; last year #9
- Computer engineering - #11; last year #11
- Chemical engineering - #12, tied with Michigan; last year #12
- Materials engineering - #14; last year #12
- Environmental - #11; last year #13, tied with U. Florida
- Biomedical engineering - not in top 24; last year, #19
- Nuclear engineering programs are not ranked by USN&WR every year and were not ranked this year or last year
