Assistant Professor Milind Kulkarni will appear as a contestant on the Jeopardy! game show on Thursday, February 10th. The show will air on WFLI at 7:30pm.

As an ECE Professor, his area of interest is computer engineering, with research in programming languages, compilers, and runtime systems for multicore processors, performance modeling of parallel programs, and parallelism in irregular algorithms.

Milind graduated in 2002 with a B.S. in both Computer Science and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University. He began as an ECE Professor at Purdue in the fall of 2009.

Outside of computer science, his interests include reading, playing the mandolin, movies, and politics. As for Jeopardy, Milind says, "I've wanted to be on Jeopardy since I was a little kid. To finally get that chance was an incredible experience. It was great meeting and competing against the other contestants. To run into someone that is just as much of a trivia buff as yourself is surprising, but on Jeopardy, you're surrounded by them."
