ECE Undergraduate Programs ranked among the best

U.S. News & World Report has released this year's national rankings of ECE undergraduate programs. Purdue Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering ranks #10 among programs at doctoral-granting universities (tied for #9 last year). Purdue Computer Engineering ranks #11 (same as last year).

US News & World Report has released this year's national rankings of undergraduate programs. Purdue ranks #9 among engineering programs at
doctoral-granting universities, tied with Cornell and University of Texas-Austin. Purdue ranked #9 last year in a two-way tie with Carnegie Mellon.

The discipline rankings are:

· Agricultural engineering - #2; last year #5, tied with UC-Davis

· Industrial/manufacturing engineering - #3; last year #3

· Aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical engineering - #4; last year #4

· Civil engineering - #5, tied with MIT; last year #7, tied with Michigan

· Mechanical engineering - #7; last year #7

· Electrical engineering - #10; last year #9

· Computer engineering - #11; last year #11

· Environmental - #11, tied with Cal Tech and U. Florida; last year #15,
tied with Virginia Tech

· Materials engineering - #12; last year #13, tied with Ohio State

· Chemical engineering - #13; last year #13

· Biomedical engineering was not ranked in the top 24 this year or last year

· Nuclear engineering programs are not ranked by USN&WR every year and
were not ranked this year or last year
