The Intel program awards fellowships to Ph.D. candidates pursuing leading-edge work in fields related to Intel's business and research interests. Fellowships are available at select U.S. universities and by invitation only.

Gwen is pursuing a Ph.D. in computer architecture under the guidance of Professor T.N. Vijaykumar.

The Herbert McCoy Award was established in 1964 to award a student or faculty member in the science departments of Purdue University making the greatest contribution of the year to science. The award consists of a monetary prize of $4,000 plus an additional $7,000 to support the research of the recipient.

The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society awards up to five PhD research
awards each year internationally. Houle's research is on computational
electromagnetic methods of significantly reduced complexity for
large-scale high-speed integrated circuit design. He will receive a cash
award of $2,500. The award will be announced in IEEE Antennas and
Propagation Magazine.

Professors Byunghoo Jung and Dimitrios Peroulis led the team with their entry Wireless Chip-to-chip Data Link using U-band Transceivers. They brought home a $35,000 cash award.

The paper presented by Rosa is entitled "Low-Loss Coplanar Waveguide Transmission Lines and Vertical Interconnects on Multi-Layer Parylene-N" by Rosa Lahiji, Hasan Sharifi, Saeed Mohammadi, and Linda Katehi.

The Fellow Committee is responsible for making recommendations to the IEEE Board of Directors for nominees to be conferred the grade of Fellow. The Fellow Committee also provides a citation describing their accomplishments. The term is from January 1 - December 31, 2009.
