ChE Professor You-Yeon Won receives NSF funding to study pharmaceutical polymers

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor You-Yeon Won has been awarded three years of funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to study pharmaceutical polymers. The NSF funding will support Won’s research project, Statistically Sequence-Controlled Pharmaceutical Polymers, and Studies of Their Molecular Thermodynamics and Kinetic Properties.

ChE Professor Vilas Pol sets new Guinness World Record

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Vilas Pol set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for The fastest time to arrange all elements of the modern period table on Wednesday, August 15. Cheered by a crowd of more than 200 onlookers in Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering’s Henson Atrium, Pol correctly arranged the 118 individual elements in 8 minutes and 36 seconds.

Professor Vilas Pol to attempt new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title

Purdue University faculty Dr. Vilas Pol will attempt a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for The fastest time to arrange all elements of the modern periodic table on Wednesday (August 15, 2018) at 9:30 a.m. in the Henson Atrium, Forney Hall of Chemical Engineering. The event is free and open to the public.

ChE Professor Zoltan K. Nagy receives 2018 AIChE Process Development Division Research Award

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering Professor Zoltan Nagy has been awarded the 2018 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Process Development Division Research Award for significant technical contributions to the advancement of process development. Sponsored by Pfizer, the AIChE Process Development Division Research Award is highly competitive, and awards are presented based on contributions within research, teaching, or regulatory activities. Nominations are received from around the world.
