Undergraduate Background
Successfully earning a graduate degree in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering requires a strong background and certain engineering subjects. Our applicants typically have the following credentials:
Background in Math
Three semesters of calculus (such as MA 16500, MA 16600, and MA 26100)
Differential Equations (e.g. MA 26600)
Linear Algebra (e.g. MA 26500)
Background for related graduate courses
Students Entering with B.S. Degrees in Other Fields
Students whose undergraduate degrees are in a field of science or engineering other than Chemical Engineering may pursue graduate degrees in Chemical Engineering, but they will be required to take additional undergraduate courses that form the prerequisites for the specific graduate courses in their plans of study.
