Postdoctoral Positions in Small-Animal MRI
Purdue University, the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, seeks to fill one postdoctoral position to work on small-animal MRI projects funded by National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Positions are immediately available.
Purdue University has a comprehensive suite of MRI imaging facilities, including a Bruker small-animal 7T MRI system, a GE human 3T MRI system, and two new human 3T MRI systems scheduled to be operational in summer 2016.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in engineering, physics, neuroscience, or a related field, and also have one or multiple previous experiences in MRI engineering (RF coil design and fabrication), small-animal MRI/fMRI for brain, and contrast-agent MRI. Successful applicants are expected to participate in collaborative research, and to interact closely with collaborators from the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biological Sciences, and Psychology at Purdue University, as well as from Indiana University School of Medicine.
