Dr. Seema Mattoo, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Purdue will present “Leveraging Fic proteins as anti-microbial therapeutics" at 12:00 noon in the DRUG Lobby Conference Room on Wednesday, April 10.

Ram Iyer, PhD, Senior Director of Global Regulatory Science for Cook Medical, will present a special research seminar and open Q&A on Tuesday, April 9, at 2:30 p.m. in MJIS 2001. The presentation is entitled “Pediatric Medical Device Development: Applying scientific principles for moderate risk devices.”

Bruce Verchere, PhD, Professor, Departments of Surgery and Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, University of British Columbia; Director, Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics; Investigator, Childhood Diabetes Laboratories, BC Children’s Hospital; and Irving K Barber Chair in Diabetes Research will present “Seeking Totality: Shedding Light into Triggers and Biomarkers of Beta Cell Dysfunction in Diabetes.”

Ulrike Dydak, PhD, Professor of Health Sciences and Director, Purdue Life Sciences MRI Facility and Associate Director of Women’s Global Health Institute, Purdue University, will present “Quantitative MRI and Edited Spectroscopy to Study the Risk of Manganese Toxicity in Welders” on Friday, April 5 at 10:00 a.m. in MJIS 2001 and via Zoom.
