Purdue BME Students Shine at Inaugural Golden Hammer Awards

The inaugural Golden Hammer Awards recently honored a select group of Purdue University students who have gone above and beyond in their academic pursuits and personal development. The award ceremony, held in Indianapolis, celebrated students who embody the five pillars of the Purdue community: integrity, respect, honor, innovation and growth.

Among the honorees were Shagunpreet Kaur, Kelci Malloy, Caleb Manring, Carissa Mollet, Benjamin Smith, and Gavin Wang, all of whom are pursuing biomedical engineering degrees. These students have not only excelled in their studies but have also demonstrated a strong commitment to making a difference both within and outside the classroom.

But the celebration didn’t stop there. Pearl-Marie Andoh and Aurelia Chelfannisa received the Golden Hammer Innovation Award for their exceptional contributions to biomedical engineering. Their work continues to set new standards in the field and is sure to inspire others to push the boundaries of innovation.

This recognition reflects the exceptional caliber of Purdue students, and we couldn’t be prouder to see our Biomedical Engineering students making their mark. These Boilermakers are proving that hard work, dedication and a passion for growth can truly make a difference.

Congratulations to all the award winners! We can’t wait to see where your hard work takes you next. Boiler Up!
