This award, given annually by the College of Engineering, recognizes graduate students who demonstrate excellence in teaching and make a significant impact on the academic development of their peers.

Ankit Shah’s dedication to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for Purdue’s biomedical engineering students has truly set them apart. Their ability to connect with students and create meaningful academic experiences has earned them this well-deserved recognition. Along with the honor, Ankit will receive a certificate and a cash prize of $2,000.

Ankit said, “It has been an honor serving BME students and making an impact in their academics. This recognition is a reflection of the support and mentorship I’ve received, and I’m excited to continue growing as both a researcher and educator.”

Ankit will be honored at the 2025 College of Engineering Graduate Student Awards Luncheon, held on April 16, 2025. The event will celebrate not only Ankit’s achievements but also the accomplishments of other exceptional graduate students across Purdue’s College of Engineering.

The Weldon School is proud of Ankit’s contributions and excited to see how their future endeavors will continue to shape the next generation of biomedical engineers.
