Since enrolling in the fall, he has actively engaged in various initiatives. He conducts research at the Indiana University School of Medicine, contributes to the Purdue chapter of the Biomedical Engineering Society and participates in the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program—a continuation of his high school involvement. Recognizing the need for a supportive community for pre-med students, he co-founded the Purdue in Indianapolis Medical Association, launching this spring, to assist peers pursuing medical careers.

As the eldest first-generation American sibling, he strives to honor their sacrifices by embracing opportunities, supporting the next generation and building a future that reflects the strong foundation his family provided.
Through his diverse experiences and unwavering commitment, David Chin exemplifies the innovative and compassionate spirit of Purdue's biomedical engineering community.
