Staff achieve service anniversaries
They were honored at the Provost's Administrative and Professional Staff Recognition Luncheon on Jan. 25 at the Purdue Memorial Union. The event honors administrative and professional staff who in 2017 have completed years of service totaling 10, 15, 20, 25, and longer in five-year increments.
Carla Brady
Carla Brady, account assistant, has served the Weldon School for all but about 8 months of her time at Purdue. “It’s hard to believe that I have been at Purdue for 20 years!” she said. ”It has been a privilege to be part of Biomedical Engineering and to witness the amazing research that is taking place here. I may be a bit biased, but we really do have the most amazing faculty, students, and staff. I look forward to seeing what the future has in store for this journey.”
Corey Linkel
Corey Linkel, associate director of undergraduate programs, has served the university for 10 years. "I have had a great academic and career journey here at Purdue, which really began back in 1992 as freshman," he said. "I have been able to work with many excellent colleagues and mentors in Botany & Plant Pathology, Res Life, Student Health Center, College of Liberal Arts, Dean of Students, and now Biomedical Engineering. I never could have imagined I would have followed this meandering career path, but I wouldn't change any part of it. I consider myself lucky to have been surrounded by such wonderful people at each step of my journey. I’m looking forward to what the next 10 years brings me."
Jo Gelfand
Jo Gelfand, intra/extramural relations administrator, has served the university for 35 years.
