Zheng Ouyang will participate in the 15th Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis (BCEIA), to be held in Beijing, China, October 22-26, 2013. Sponsored by the China Association for Instrumental Analysis (CAIA), and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, PRC, the BCEIA is aimed at promoting academic exchanges among the related scientists of various countries and trade cooperation between the concerned Chinese and foreign partners in Instrumental Analysis. The Beijing Conference and Exhibition on Instrumental Analysis has developed into the largest and most influential international academic conference and exhibition in this field in China. 

Ann Rundell will travel to Florence, Italy from December 10-13, 2013 to participate in the 52nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control. The CDC annually brings together an international community of researchers and practitioners in the field of automatic control to discuss the latest advancements of the discipline, shape its future directions, and promote its diffusion among the scientific community at large. The 52nd CDC will feature the presentation of contributed and invited papers, as well as tutorial sessions and workshops. The CDC is hosted by the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS), and is organized in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the Japanese Society for Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE), and the European Union Control Association (EUCA).
