The 12th Semi-Annual Senior Design Presentations and Demonstrations were held on Friday, May 4th, to a capacity crowd.
Seven senior design teams presented their unique healthcare and clinically inspired projects to a full-to-capacity classroom in the Martin Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering. This year's topics included:
- Hematopoietic cell culture using a three-dimensional bioreactor
- Biodegradable anti-scar adhesive bandage
- Anterior cruciate ligament scaffold
- Biodegradable smart stent
- Protective planning and scheduling intervention for diabetic care
- Predicting and mitigating infectious disease spread
- A tissue engineered cardiac patch
This year's course instructor was Professor Sherry Voytik-Harbin.
