Schaffer Recognized by Wire and Cable Technology International

PhD Candidate, Jeremy Schaffer
Doctoral student Jeremy Schaffer was recently awarded the WCTI Technical Achievement Award for 2010. Schaffer has been recognized for his advancements to the nanograin materials for bioconductor applications.

Jeremy has been a Research Engineer at Fort Wayne Metals for a number of years and currently is a full-time graduate student pursing a PhD in the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering under the research mentorship of Professor Lia Stanciu.

Schaffer was identified by WCTI as an industry leader in biomedical wire development and an expert in the areas of fatigue modeling, testing, and design of medical wire.

WCTI Technical Achievement Awards are an annual recognition for individuals who have made major technical developments in the wire and cable industry. The developments can be in the areas of equipment, materials, or accessories for manufacturing, processing, or uses of wire or cable.
