Trustees Approve Promotions for Schild and Yokota

John Schild has been promoted to Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue and of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Case Western Reserve University, and his Ph.D. from Rice University. His research interests include ion channel dynamics and neural coding in cardiovascular afferents, instrumentation design for patch clamp electrophysiology, and computational neuroscience.
Hiroki Yokota was also promoted to Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue and of Anatomy & Cell Biology and Mechanical Engineering at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Professor Yokota has B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tokyo, and a Ph.D. degree from Indiana University. His research areas include cellular and molecular biomechanics and mathematical and computational genomics.
