Profs. Bashir and Ladisch Receive NSF-Funded SBIR Award

BioVitesse, Inc., an early stage start-up company co-founded by BME faculty members Rashid Bashir and Mike Ladisch and Purdue ECE alumnus Laila Razouk, was awarded an SBIR Phase 2 Award from the National Science Foundation. The company is working to commercialize biochips-based detection systems for the rapid detection of bacteria and microorganisms for pharmaceutical and food safety applications.
