Purdue University Selected as One of the Best Places to Work

The October 20, 2003 issue of The Scientist featured an article entitled "How they Measure Up: Scientific Institutions" that detailed the results of their Best Place to Work in Scientific Institutions survey. 2,210 full-time researchers in the United States, Canada, western Europe, and Israel responded to 56 statements pertaining to the scientific workplace.

Purdue ranked as the second best place to work overall and first in fairness in salary decisions within the United States. Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia received the top ranking. Here is the complete list of top ten U.S. research institutions:
