Kenneth Sanger received his BSAAE in 1981 and MSAAE in 1983 from Purdue and holds an MBA from San Diego State University. He is currently the director and program manager for the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense European Site Program at The Boeing Company. He has previously served as director of C-17 Air Vehicle Operations. Prior to that, Sanger led various Boeing Global Mobility Systems engineering organizations, including C-17 Avionics, Flight Controls and Support Equipment, and Design Office, to name a few.

Sanger was elected fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in December 2007 after serving on their board of directors for nine years. He is an executive Champion for the Boeing Huntsville Black Employees Association and is the Boeing Executive Focal to Alabama A&M University. Sanger has been recognized by the U.S. Navy and the FAA for composite aircraft certification R&D and by the USAF technical leadership overseeing C-17 aircraft program design/development and sustainment. He has received numerous Boeing and AIAA awards. He and his wife, Donna, have two teenage daughters, Sarah and Emileigh.
