Dr. Kamin is Sr. Director of the Foundational Capabilities Department within Collins Aerospace Advanced Technology organization responsible for leadership of the department to include strategic planning, personnel management, capture and execution of science and technology contracts, applied research, and technology transition to the business units. The department has ongoing work in the areas of autonomy, cyber security, information analytics, prognostics, formal methods and model-based systems engineering.

Dr. Kamin earned a doctorate and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, as well as a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
