Dr. Ulisses Heredia Rivera successfully completes his PhD!

Event Date: January 4, 2024

We have another doctor in the house! Ulisses Heredia Rivera has successfully defended his PhD thesis. Advised by Professor Rahim Rahimi, his research was focused on the development of scalable additive manufacturing of conductive polymer blends and nanocomposites for printed and flexible electronics applications. As part of his research, he developed a unique process that uses cold atmospheric plasmas for the in-situ synthesis and direct deposition of conductive polymer nanocomposites in fabrics and other flexible polymeric substrates. This pioneering method holds promise for diverse applications, including the development of printed sensors and wearable devices. Ulisses has accepted a position as Packaging R&D Engineer at Intel.
