MSE Student, Rachel Hruby, leads a project to help cast a plaque for the Lafayette Greenbush Cemetery.

Event Date: June 1, 2023
Recent BS MSE graduate, Rachel Hruby, served as the project lead for a community project where the MSE (materials engineering) Bronze team cast a plaque for the historical Lafayette Greenbush Cemetery. This team was comprised of students from multiple majors, and was supervised by Assistant Professor, Mohammad Zbib, in partnership with EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service). The plaque recognizes Colonel William Carroll who perished in the Battle of Chickamauga in Tennessee in 1863. This is the second MSE Bronze plaque delivered to a community partner, and more to come next year! bit.ly/Purdue-Plaques
