PhD Candidate, Sina Nejati, has successfully completed his PhD! Sina was advised by Professor Rahim Rahimi and his multidisciplinary research focused on the design and development of an ingestible smart capsule platform capable of precise sampling of gastrointestinal (GI) fluid from specific regions within the GI tract. This technology shows immense potential as a non-invasive tool for studying real-time metabolic and molecular interactions occurring among the host, dietary components, and microbiota in difficult-to-access regions of the GI tract.
