Please join us in congratulating MSE alumna, Allison Chau (BS MSE 2019) on being selected to receive a 2020 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship! Allison is advised by Prof. Angela Pitenis at UC Santa Barbara, and her research is focused on studying the interfacial mechanics of hydrogels through tribology, nanomechanics, and microscopy to better understand how to make synthetic materials more biocompatible with the human body.
