Congratulations to MSE Professor Ernesto Marinero for Being Elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society

"For his seminal contributions to the development of materials for recording and sensor devices enabling continuous density increases of information storage technology, in particular of magnetic recording."

The American Physical Society (founded in 1899) honors yearly APS members who are deemed by the Society to have made "exceptional contributions to the physics enterprise”. Prof. Marinero was one of the selected candidates who was nominated as Fellow of the American Physical Society for his specific contributions. A Fellowship in the American Physical Society is limited to no more than one half of one percent of the membership (50,000 in 2014).
