Senior Design First Semester

Expectations:

By the end of the first semester, a detailed design of the final product (this could be a device, system, process, software, etc. that results from this design experience) needs to be completed. This includes but not limited to the following:

  1. Description of the overall project, including a description of the customer and their requirements, the purpose, specifications, and a summary of the approach.
  2. Description of the different design approaches considered and evaluation of each design approach.
  3. Detailed description of the final proposed design. This includes producing artifacts like the following:
    1. Schematics, bill of materials, program logic, mock-ups, initial prototyping/proof of concept, testing plan for evaluation, etc

Deliverables: A Project Proposal that details all of the above and an Outcomes Matrix detailing documented evidence of how outcomes are being met. Both documents must be reviewed and approved by the advisor and TA.
