Graduate Student Zhengping Jiang has been awarded an IBM Fellowship for the academic year 2012/13. Zhengping works in the Nanoelectronic Modeling group of Professor Gerhard Klimeck. For his PhD he is pursuing the understanding of electronic structure and electron flow in nanoelectronic devices that are described in an atomistic approach.

He has been using NEMO3D (https://engineering.purdue.edu/gekcogrp/software-projects/nemo3D/) and NEMO5 (https://engineering.purdue.edu/gekcogrp/software-projects/nemo5/) for his research extensively and plans to use these tools in joint research with IBM and his upcoming internship at IBM.
