Several ECE Faculty receive 2017 CoE Awards of Excellence
The 2017 College of Engineering Faculty Awards of Excellence were presented at the Faculty Recognition Banquet on April 7, 2017. It is an annual series of excellence awards for faculty in the College of Engineering that was established in the fall of 2002. Nominations may be made by any faculty, staff or student in the College of Engineering.
Professor Mark Lundstrom received the Mentoring Award, and was nominated by Professors Peter Bermel and Zhihong Chen. The purpose of the award is to recognize excellence by faculty in the mentoring of graduate students, post doctorate staff or junior faculty. He received a plaque and $2,500.
Professor Peide "Peter" Ye received the Research Award, and was nominated by Professor Peter Bermel. The award is to recognize excellence in research by faculty. He received a plaque and $2,500.
The Team Award was given to the Implantable Networks of Wireless Nanoelectronic Nodes team, which includes Professors Muhammad A. Alam, Pedro Irazoqui, Mark Lundstrom, and Zhongming Liu. They were nominated by Professor Kinam Park. The award recognizes and encourages teamwork or multidisciplinary efforts by faculty and staff. Each member received a plaque and $1,000, and the project received $10,000.
