Gaming and Interactive Systems Engineering Concentration

For Indianapolis students only

The Gaming and Interactive Systems Engineering concentration blends the technical foundation of electrical and computer engineering with industry-connected experience in the gaming world. Students will study how engineering shapes the games and digital platforms people use every day. Areas of focus include hardware, systems, graphics and software, along with the technical and creative collaboration required to build engaging interactive systems.

Students in this program will also have the chance to participate in Xbox Game Camp, where they will be paired with Microsoft mentors, gain insight from industry professionals and explore the technologies behind modern gaming experiences. 

Get an early start

Although the concentration will officially be added to the course catalog in fall 2027, students can begin taking qualifying courses in fall 2026 and apply them toward the concentration. A few qualifying courses include:
