Join the Academic Support Center team of Purdue University Global. The online university has opportunities for 6 to 10 currently enrolled Purdue West Lafayette graduate students as specialized, fully online tutors. Team members provide interactive, online assistance using video, audio, and screen-sharing technologies to facilitate dynamic learning sessions during center open hours. Tutors receive paid training on an innovative online platform and are mentored by expert, degreed team members.

The Purdue University Global Academic Support Center (ASC) offers students free, individualized, interactive tutoring online in the areas of math, science, business, writing, and technology. In the ASC, highly trained, dedicated tutors offer both course-specific and generalized learning assistance. The Academic Support Center supports 10,000 student visits a year in online live tutoring sessions and another 15,000 visits to asynchronous services such as Paper Review and Q & A. Join our team!

Opportunities exist for current Purdue West Lafayette graduate students in one or more of the following specialties: business, economics, accounting, math, statistics, writing, technology (networking, cybersecurity, database, system design), and science. Positions are for 10 to 12 hours per week.

Experience and Qualifications: Minimum bachelor's degree with 15 hours of coursework in tutoring area with a GPA of 3.25 or higher in qualifying coursework; currently pursuing a graduate degree at Purdue West Lafayette; excellent communication skills (both written and oral); ability to follow directions and operational procedures; proficient reading, writing, and speaking in standard English; ability to follow directions and adapt to changing technical demands. Applicants need to provide a major professor recommendation and a resume or curriculum vitae. International Graduate Students currently enrolled at the West Lafayette Campus must visit the Office of International Students and Scholars to learn if they are eligible to pursue this employment opportunity.
