Positions with a stealth startup incubated at Andy Rubin's Playground
| Position Type: | Research |
|---|---|
| Priority: | No |
| Degree Requirement: | MS, PhD, Post Doctorate |
I work for a stealth startup incubated at Andy Rubin's Playground (February 2016 Wired Article), co-founded by two members of the Stanford self-driving car team, Alex Teichman and Hendrik Dahlkamp, and advised by Google[X] founder Sebastian Thrun.
We're now turning the self-driving car's machine learning techniques towards building the eyes of the smarthome.
For this venture, we need two superstars to play pivotal roles on our team:
(1) engineer with extensive knowledge of deep learning for computer vision, competence with Linux, C++, and algorithms (familiarity with Caffe and distributed systems a plus but not required); and
(2) engineer with extensive experience in RGBD cameras, use of probabilistic reasoning, C++, and Linux.
Feel free to contact us if you are interested in owning key aspects of computer vision in our high growth startup that will fundamentally augment awareness of our homes. We would welcome a full-time or internship candidate.
Thanks,
Jonghoon
P.S. Fun video Steve Jurvetson posted of Boston Dynamic's Spot versus Cosmo, Andy Rubin's dog, both housed here at Playground.
