Three Minute Thesis
Graduate students are encouraged to attend Three Minute Thesis (3MT) on April 15 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in Fowler Hall. Ten graduate students and postdoctoral scholars will present their years of research in just 3 minutes with only one slide.
Audience participation is essential to making this event a success! The judging panel will select the winner and runner up, while the audience will select the People’s Choice winner! Voting will take place live during the competition. 
**Don’t forget, the graduate student instructor who has the most undergraduate student registration at 3MT will win a Starbucks gift card (see bottom of email).

Future Faculty Boot Camp
Future Faculty Boot Camp (FFBC) is taking place on April 28 & 29. Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars interested in academic positions are encouraged to attend this free professional development event. Breakfast and lunch will be provided! Event sessions are listed below.

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) | April 15th | 7:00 – 9:00 PM | Fowler Hall | Register to Attend

Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a fast-paced, internationally recognized research communication competition. It challenges 10 graduate students and postdocs to share their years’ worth of research in only three minutes with only one slide. The winner received $5,000 and represents Purdue at the regional 3MT competition. Admission is free and open to the public! 
 
For extra credit, register for the competition using the link above, select that you are attending for extra credit, and input your instructor’s name. Then, on the night of the event, you will be provided with an extra credit ticket at the door. Bring this ticket to class, and you will receive extra credit!

TIP: There are only 400 seats available. So, registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Encourage your students to take advantage of this opportunity soon!
