POSITION: Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 21 2017, (Fall Semester)
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, or closely related field. Degree at time of application, or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2017. Specialization in the area of Computer Networks. Potential for effective teaching at the college level. Record of or demonstrated potential for successful research, scholarly, and creative activities. Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population.
DESIRED/PREFERRED: Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in teaching courses in the area of Computer Networks. Demonstrated ability and clear plans for the development of research programs in Computer Networks or related fields. Demonstrated ability to supervise student projects, develop programs and curriculum, supervise students’ theses, and actively participate in academic governance.
DUTIES: Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in or related to Computer Networks, as well as undergraduate fundamental courses in Electrical Engineering. Develop curriculum, supervise graduate student projects, and theses. Develop a research program which complements and enhances ongoing research activities in Electrical Engineering and leads to publications and external funding. Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community.

- Three current letters of recommendation
- Finalists will also be required to submit a signed SC-1 form, three to five current letters of recommendation (if not already submitted), and an official transcript
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.
