About the Positions
 
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities invites applications for faculty positions in three different areas:
  • Power Electronics - hardware design, modeling, and contemporary control and optimization paradigms for power electronics (hiring at the assistant or associate level)
  • Computer Engineering - chip design and verification, hardware security, design automation, computer architecture, and emerging computing platforms, including the fields of AI/ML, heterogeneous integration, quantum computing (hiring at the assistant level)
  • RF/Microwave/Terahertz Circuits and Systems - experimentalist working in hardware design, modeling, and measurements of RF/microwave/millimeter/terahertz frequency integrated circuits and integrated systems for communication and sensing applications (hiring at the assistant or associate level)

Successful candidates will have outstanding academic and research records and are expected to establish a vigorous, funded research program, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and be involved in service to the university and the profession. An earned doctorate or equivalent foreign degree in an appropriate discipline is required at the time of appointment. Excellent candidates in any field will be considered. It is anticipated that the appointment will begin Fall 2025.

These are tenure-track faculty positions. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as based on the hiring level(s) of the respective position (please see above).
