Birck Cryogenics Lab
User Facility for Materials Characterization at Purdue’s Birck Nanotechnology Center
Did you know that Purdue University has a state-of-the-art materials characterization facility that is open for both Purdue and external users? The latest additions to the recharge center at the Birck Nanotechnology Center in Purdue’s Discovery Park include a SQUID magnetometer and a Physical Properties Measurement System. These cryogen-free platforms are the latest offerings from Quantum Design, a leader in precision, high-throughput measurements at low temperatures and high magnetic fields. Users will also receive dedicated measurement support from Neil Dilley, research scientist and an expert on applications for these systems.
